I am considering converting the front and rear turn signals to LED on my 2012 Road Glide Custom. I have been to the Custom Dynamics website and I read that if your bike is "BCM Compliant", you will not need a load equalizer. I don't know alot about automotive electrical systems. I've tried to research this but I can't find an answer. Have any of you done this mod to your 2012 touring bike and if so did you have to use the load balancing component ? How difficult is it to install the load balancer ?
I have Dynamic Ringz (white outer running light and inner amber turns for the front, Amber turns for the back) (CDN SG with center HD taillight) plus a load stabilizer coming from CD. Your '12 RG requires the load stabilizer/equalizer. '14 touring's do not. It's very easy to install. Under your left side cover on the frame first pull the big breaker out. There is a plug with the wires running along the frame rail back to the taillight. Simply unplug it and connect the stabilizer (equalizer) in-line. Then run the pos and neg wires up to your battery and ty wrap the stabilizer somewhere convenient. Breaker back in and follow the included instructions to syncro them. They are very knowledgeable on the phone and have great tech support. The pictures below show the 6 pin connector for my CDN '13 SG (no beer box). The plug was under the bundled cable for the beer box so I cut the strap to get to it. Disconnect your plug to see how many pins, 6 or 8. Call them and they will tell you which one to order. I just ordered everything while on the phone. You can see in the picture the connector you plug in-line to. The badlands one does not require battery connections. CD products have a lifetime warranty.

Reason: add.
I went with the Biketronics EQ, plug and play.
Some other makes require a power source, additional hassle.
Lifetime Warranty is a plus, too.
Me thinks dis be da one fo you... http://www.biketronics.com/products/...Equalizer.html
