I have the Kuryakyn quick adjust tourpack relocator on mine and love it.Can adjust it 2" forward or 3" back in less than a minute. they cost around $200
I have a 2008 and the Kuryakin for over 4 years with no issues. And as stated adjustable on the fly, although to be honest with you have only changed once.

i wish there were a way to get more room out of the standard backrest when its on instead. i know that has been discussed here before too but never heard a good way of doing that.

I have this to and adjust it all the time. I really like moving it all the way forward when the OL stays home. She is 5' 13 1/2" so need the full back position when she rides.
