We find the VOX function is impractical most of the time. Works okay at under 50 mph. Mostly we just use the PTT function. She has a PTT button and so do I. Hold it down and you have telephone like function.[&:]

I have a shortty helmet and was wondering the same thing. This weekend I dropped by the dealer and they showed me a new Harley item that just came out and isn't in the catalogue yet.It is a pair of little pockets that slip in between the shell and the liner. You can then put the ear phones in these pockets and the mic attaches normally. Sorry I don't have the part number.
