Used the TW8-6 in my 103" build, had FM'S level B heads etc, made 113/117. held 100+tq from 2700 to 5900. Love them cams. Pull hard to the rev limiter.
Thought about them cams for my 110" but going a shade bigger with the 408-6's..
I told Jamie where I wanted to be for HP & TQ... and early in the powerband... I also told him I wanted Cams that would "thump" and this is what he thought would be the best choice for this build... I trust in him as he knows about a billion times more than I do about this stuff lol
No argument that Jamie knows his stuff. Good to know about that combination.
Latest member of the 120+Hp club! We built Johnnie E's engine a couple years back, last week we took this 107 to the next level. We installed FM Level B CNC heads, set comp to 10.75, Wood TW8-6 cams, and dyno tuned it with Dynojet Power Vision. Awesome combination, thank you Johnnie for your continued business and support!
Today I received my tracking numbers for the 107BB and Level B Heads. This is worse then the night before Christmas when I was kid. Can't wait to hang on!
That sounds great! And I'm psyched over getting TW-222 cams, you got a beast! I'm buying the cams and lifters, pushrods and the rest Friday. You are on standby to help with my cam job. Do you want dogs and burgers on the grill or pizza?
Mine isn't a Fuel Moto build since I built it myself but I did install Woods 555 cams and the Tq is amazing. Bike is a 106" and done 110hp and 128tq. Hit's hard down low!!!!
Kind of difficult finding a dyno for a trike up here. I've got the starter map from Fuel Moto and I'm pretty good with the Power Vision with wide band sensors.
Got a call from the mech doing my install this morning to come and install the new map. The motor fired right up and we shut it down after the first heat cycle. Started again for the second cycle and not one tick or extra noise. It didn't even sound like everyone's sewing machine. Loved the smell of the assembly lube smoking and burning off. I'll pick it up later this afternoon, by then the snow and ice we got last night will have gone.
Might even have the chance to autotune the light load areas on the way home.
