After serching over all the posts I haven't seen this particular situation addressed, either that or I am lacking in the way of the search parameters. Anyway....I have an06 Ultra that I put the full blown Panacea lights on both front, rear and taillights last year. Installed, tested and worked like a charm. Last week I bought a Dart trailer (older 1 before they were sold) and wired it up to the Ultra. I am using a 5 pin round with all 5 wires being utilized. When the bike is hooked up to the trailer everything works perfect. When trailer is disconnected though the turn signals flash normally 4 times and then go into a rapid flash like a light is burnt out. I am pretty sure this has to do with the TSM/TSSM but haven't been able to find anything to reference this. I have tried disconnecting the Kuryakyn wiring harness out of the loop, changing it from hot bus to OEM, putting the splitter for the trailer from before the kuryakyn load equalizer to after it to no avail. Of course I didn't notice this until late Friday night and once a problem begins I obsess with it until I find an answer. I plan on calling Kuryakyn in the morning but would like to get an idea on how I can fix this before that.
It sounds like you have already trie this, but from what I remeber before installing my Kuryakyn Panacea system, it said that if you were to use a trailer that the wiring needed to be done before wiring the Kuryakyn Panacea systemon the bike. That does sort of make sense, as the Kuryakyn Panacea system should not be effected then.
I have the same set up with the Kury Panacea lights. My suggestion would be to install a trailer wiring module to run the trailer lights. This module connects directly to the battery and powers the trailer lights. It also connects into the bikes lighting wiring but only to get the signal to light a particular light (don't ask me how it works, I just know it does). Anyway the idea is that the module keeps the drain of the trailer lights off your bike's lighting circuit. You can get one from this link http://electricalconnection.com/wire...ns-trailer.htm
Kuryakyn sells a trailer wiring isolation kit that should take care of the problem, I put it on my 06 ultra so I wouldn't have any issues with the electronics. I have the panacea lights on my 89 flht and tapped into the wires prior to the panacea light'smodule and have no problems with it.
