Has anyone used Garmin's Basecamp to create a route for the 2014 Infortainment system?

 

I have about had it with Ride Planner. In a nut shell it sucks. I really dont know basecamp all that well. Can you create a route in basecamp and export it straight to the HD gps or do you have to go though ride planner.

 

I use Basecamp exclusively to plan routes and load them into my 2014. You just have to take into consideration that Garmin didn't build BC for Harley and Harley didn't build their GPS for Garmin. That said once you figure out to make the two play together it works fine. I have made some routes in BC just to try to get the 2014 messed up and it follows the route just fine. Of course with the limited number of points HD allows you will have to make smaller routes and keep them on your Thumb Drive.
