Bell Bullitt helmet?
I normally wear a Bell 500 3/4 helmet and have been looking for a full face helmet with similar retro styling. I ordered a flat black one with the flat shield from Revzilla. It's a well made helmet. The leather interior is gorgeous. The vents are nicely integrated and look like snaps. The exterior finish is flawless.
I wish it fit. Oddly, the ear pockets are EXTREMELY shallow - near nonexistent. There was zero room for my ears and I've got small ears. The rest of the helmet fit perfectly. The Bell 500 3/4 helmet I have is super comfortable so the fit of the Bullit was a surprise. I had to return it.
I've got a Biltwell Gringo on order now. It's a much cheaper helmet, so I'm not sure what to expect.

The fit is PERFECT. I have an XL. I wore a L in the Bell. It doesn't feel much different than my 3/4 Bell 500 which I love. The cheek pads are not overly tight like modern full face helmets. The field of vision is great. I haven't ridden in it yet (it snowed again last night and they salted the roads AGAIN).
The paint finish leaves a little bit to be desired but it's about what I expected for a $159.00 helmet. The interior is nice but it's no Bell Bullit.
I installed a J&M Elite headset (costs more than the helmet - LOL). It fit nicely into the helmet without requiring any surgery and there is STILL room for my ears (WTF Bell Bullit?).
I'm probably going to rock this helmet with just my prescription, foam padded, Eye 7 glasses. I may pick up a flat snap-on shield to keep in the bags for rain or cold weather.
I think overall I would have been happier with the Bell Bullit due to the superior finish and gorgeous leather interior but the ear fit was just ridiculous.
Old skool look (looks almost identical to my 1976 Orange Bell Star 120!), DOT rating. I wish there were more choices out there but the Gringo is it for me now.
