Went downtown (traffic nightmare) to try for a pic of the horses and buggies they pull folks around in....
Maybe it was too hot (105° on the highway, close to the same with no air moving downtown at street level), or maybe they only run them evenings.
IF I cool off, I'll go back this evening and try again.
I thought about doing the same thing, but there was no way I was fighting with New Orleans traffic to idle through the French Quarter to try to get one picture. And there was no horse and buggy through the areas I rode through today to get it......lots of horses, cows, donkeys, a bison (private ranch) but no buggies with a horse.

Was in NO last summer, it's bad...
I can get to the Alamo and back out slick, but I rode around the riverwalk looking for horses, and got jammed up due to construction and morons.
And it was frikkin hot... officially 98 today, but I read from 102-106 on the AAT today, of course, on blacktop.
I was out riding for 4 or 5 hours, now I'm a bit dehydrated, maybe a couple of bottles of water and dinner will make me feel better.

The area that I found the phone booth is an Amish community, that is how I came up with the horse & buggie idea. Must have seen 500 horse & buggies today. There is actually a phone in the booth.
The wife and I were out riding today and we were following a pickup with a trailer that had a buggy on it. If I would have found this thread earlier I would have gotten a pix of the bike in front of it when he pulled over. Then all I would have had to do was find a horse.
Oh well, I'm going to Memphis in two weeks and I could get the shot there, but it will be too late.
Got to love the Texas heat! We try to ride in the mornings till about noon and then after 6:30pm when it's this hot. The biggest problem is you end up taking two to three showers a day to get the sweat off...lol
