Photo Game Challenge thread...
From Google, as I didn't know the answer. Interesting. tomp
A Fire Truck does not (*) have a pump and yes it carries all sorts of tools and ladders They are typically called Aerial Ladder Trucks, Snorkels and the like. (*) There are acutually some very modern equipment that are hybreads and they are an aerial ladder truck or snorkel that has its own pump on board....tell you the truth, I don't know what they call them. Fire Trucks usually have hard piping leading up to a large nozzle called a Stang that can lob water onto a fire in upper stories or to far reaches. The water must be pumped to the truck by a Fire Engine.
There is actually one piece of fire equipment which is mis-named. It is a specialized vehicle often referred to as a Brush "Truck" and is used to fight fires off road, but it is really a Fire Engine as it has a pump, tank and hose.
Fire Trucks can also be other special vehicles, typically refered to as Heavy Rescue and Command Vehicles.

While I was the only one there, it was difficult to get myself in the pic as well.
This is one of the local departments of which I am a member of. The truck to the left is our Mighty Max, named after a boy who has fought cancer and is still suffering the on going effects of the sickness.
This truck made national news when one of our guys took it to Houston to help with the relief efforts during the hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Houston is about a 5 hour drive in a vehicle that does NOT have a Max speed of about 55. This truck assisted the national guard and rescued one of their trucks as well. It was a retired military vehicle that has been refurbished and given to us through the Texas forest service in the form of a grant.
The chief did make a book about this truck and this instance. I have one on the table in my office.

Also .. please note my 'glasses' wouldn't fit on the floorboard. They are on the rear pillion and my gloves on the seat.
OK post up a new Challenge. Think up something good.
For some reason I thought gloves had to be in the pic, I missed "on the bike." So, the first pic has the gloves "on the bike" (on the handlebars).
Assuming this is a winner, something Civil Rights related. Something honoring or named for someone or something that is most known for Civil Rights.
A statue, or street sign, with MLK or Rosa Parks' name, even Tuskegee Airmen are acceptable. JFK Blvd is not, because even though he is associated with Civil rights, that is not what he is most known for.

Funny saying about MLK Blvd .. every town has one and they are all the same. Not exactly the best place to be at night.
I like it though.
...or street sign, with MLK or ...[/QUOTE]
Let me start by saying I really was not going to go out and look for something to meet this challenge. Not for any other reason then the subject matter is possibly out side the rules of the H-D Forum. However, that being said, a street sign is a street sign, and therfore not really a position or opinion on underlying subject. So, to keep the thread going I knew of this local road and, yes, it is not in the most upscale neighborhood. This being early Sunday morning, I felt I would not have any concerns.
A MLK sign as suggested.
I'll presume this meets the Challenge and we can move on. Let's see if anyone can find a FUNNY Sign or Marque that we can get a laugh from.
As an example. I once attended a convention in a hotel where their big sign out front read:
STEAK AND LOBSTER
DANCING NIGHTLY
Read it quick and your mind will envision a very funny picture... at least my wife and I thought it was hilarious.
As usual helmet, glasses or gloves HANGING somewhere on the bike. GO GET IT!

(yes, you guessed it, there were a couple other signs (all gov't issued) in the same grassy/snowy center area.
I literally laughed out loud.
Signs everywhere on the road as you approach the work crew that say "Slow Men working in trees"
(cracks me up every time)
Sorry-cabin fever.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
We will keep this challenge alive for a few more days. If it looks like a bust i'll change it then.
