I know there's a ton of posts about this already. And believe me I've searched and looked. Turns out there's so many posts about apes that I can't find the specific info I'm looking for.
I'm eventually going to order a set of BR's sweeping K9's for my Street Glide. Can someone tell me how much longer to go with the brake lines and cables? Also how much longer do I need to go with the wires? Someone mentioned getting the CVO wire extension in another thread. Should I go with this extension?
Also the poly bushings....where can I find these at?
Thanks, and sorry for making another Ape Hanger Install thread!
Not sure about brake or clutch, but ask BR to run the wires for you - then you need to solder up your switches. And you can solder on extensions to the TBW.... I did it. You just have to be very careful to get the plug right.
would kinda help to know how tall ur bars r gonna be... I still don't get y so many ask for lengths when u can buy a kit that will fit anything from 10-14 and so on
****...sorry. They're going to be 16" bars. So you're saying you can buy a kit that comes with cables and lines that will fit 10" to 14" bars? Then why are the lines and cables I see for sale online all listed as +2, +4 etc?
CHL I may have BR do the wires for me....but I'm trying to get most of the stuff ordered a little at a time so the wife doesn't choke to death on the price of me ordering everything at once!
:-) I hear ya. Even doing the work, it's expensive!
If you call HCC, hill country customs, and tell them your bike model and ape size, they'll sell ya the right size cables - they just won't tell ya the length....

I'm deployed overseas right now so calling them is kind of a pain. I'll google them and see if I can email them. Thanks.
