Default 2001 Electra Glide front wheel

just bought my first bagger and love it! I really like the look of the Street Glides, however, budget led me to an 01 Electra Glide. i have already removed the Tour Pack and changed the seat, but i realy like the look of those 18 inch wheels. I located a take off with a new tire at a reasonable price. my undersatnding is swap my rotors on and use the 08 and newer 25 mm axle and spacers and im good. is this all i will need? also if anyone else has done this i'd love to see some picks before i pull the trigger. thanks.

That is how I did it, easy as can be. Remember to use the later model install procedure and not your year.

If it comes with an ABS bearing you will also have to swap that out to a a non abs bearing.

HogPro has all the wheel related answers...

But I am thinking it would be easier/less expensive to just swap to 1" bearings.

Then use your rotors, axle & spacers.

Bearings are cheap...cheaper than an axle (in most cases) anyway.

There are a few ways to do it. I opted for the 1" double row bearings and axle. Go to the wheels/tire section and look at the sticky.2001 Electra Glide front wheel-img_20140407_160758_734.jpg

Either way will work fine. It depends on how much labor the shop charges to install the bearings as to which way will cost less.
