My father bought Customer Dynamic LEDS for the front and rear turn signals and stabilizer on his 2012 FLHX. He bought them in Daytona and brought his bike over to me to slap them on this past weekend (finally a decent weekend in NJ). Has anyone have any issues getting the lens covers back on? Once the LEDS are in, the lens cover does not want to go back on/doesn't snap into place.
He is also getting static on radio. I even tried installing the stabilizer's ground on a post in an alternate location as recommended in their instructions. I tried calling and got no help. Figured I would try here.
If you get static on the radio then the stabilizer is bad. Had the same problem and a new stabilizer fixed that. Can't help with the lens covers not going back on I did not have that problem.
I installed mine on my FLTRU last week. Had to trim 3 of the 4 rubber gaskets in the directional buckets. Using a sharp/new razor blade made this easy. Hold the blade on an angle and trim down the gaskets using a circular motion. If you look into the buckets/housings you will see what I mean. I used a Biketronics signal equalizer because it is smaller and does not require a battery connection. This set up is working flawlessly. I do not think that this fitment issue occurs on flat style directionals. Hope this helps.
