Well, if you use and actual tire machine you would really have to not be paying attention to what you are doing.
Hence "ham fisted". But, sometimes the shoe slips. With a pneumatic machine, a lot of damage can still happen then even if you've already lifted your foot.
i realized a few months back I hit a pot hole and that caused me to sideswipe a raised man hole cover,,I inspected the rim and heard no air so I thought it was ok... now we find out it was damaged and threw the tire off.. hence my wobble at slow speeds,
new tire and ordered rim.. hope its as good as new
If that's the case, then why didn't you notice the wobble after hitting the pothole and prior to the tire change. Two and two aren't adding up to four here.
If the wobble is truly the result of the tire change (no other changes) then it can only be two things... A defective tire or a wheel damaged during the change.
As for balance, and I know some of you will argue, it would have to be so far out to feel it at 23-30 mph that it would essentially be a defective tire.
