Default Batwing Bra?

I was wondering if anyone on here ever used a leather cover that goes over the batwing fairing? I had one on a car one time, and you had to take it off everytime you washed the vehicle, and keep the dust from getting underneath of it. Is it the same care for a bike? I got a scratch on my fairing that won't rub out. Thinking that this cover looks pretty decent, but is it worth the care?

How big is the scratch you are wanting to cover? Reason for asking is that these bras will trap dust underneath them and eat some paint up, so if your scratch has already ruined the aesthics of your fairing, by all means use the bra.

no offense intended, but did u try a search? we've had a few posts recently with this exact subject.

Concensus was what UltraKla$$ic said. Could be why the answers are a bit slow.

I was considering one also, but have been diswayed by their responses to this question.

I've had a bra on both my 06 and 07 Ultra from the day I bought them.I put a real good couple of coats of wax on the fairing first and then I covered the fairing with the bra and a chrome strip that holds the bra on just under the windsheild. I've taken the bra off several times and not so much as a mark. I rode to Sturgis and past last year with my 06 and weathered many intense rain and hail storms on my travels and not so much as a scratch. I have a habit of doing lots of air brush work of naked women on my bikes and the bra is saving me mucho denaro for art work as it takes away my biggest canvas. It also saves the paint during Love Bug season here in FL.

I have a white EG police model and bought the HD bra to change the look of the bike. I also picked up a damaged outer fairing (the attachment points that hold the bolts located under the mirrors were broken). Took the white outer fairing off and replaced it with the damaged fairing and bra and everything works fine. I also have the HDblack air deflectors (the ones like on the Ultra, but opague black plastic) which helps conceal the attachment of the bra to the fairing. Cleaning the fairing is a lot easier than the painted fairing, and I am not worried about getting chips in the fairing from the occasional debri that hits it.
