I'm replacing stock speakers in my '12 SG. I'm thinking a it the j&m rokker 7.25" with the tweeter grills or the hog tunes 5.25" with the amp. Any opinions on which would be better?
I really like my complete Hog Tunes package I got through Dennis Kirk. I wasn't going for the loudest system I could find, just wanted to boost the volume a bit over stock so I would be loud and clear over my pipes and wind noise. It worked perfectly for that. If I were to the add the tweeter pod it would be even better, but I really like my windshield bag setup the way it is so I've held off adding it for now.
I haven't tried J&M so I can't offer any comments other than I've heard good things about them.
Hog tunes is a good value and pretty popular entry level equipment. Nothing wrong with Hog tunes. If you are looking to spend the money on J&M, do yourself a favor and look at Hawg Wired as well. I like Hawg Wired amps and speakers better than J&M.
Hawg Wired is made in the USA, high quality equipment and has great customer service. I won't use terms like "sounds better" because that is up to your ears to determine.
