RE: Road Glide - Street Glide Rear Fascia Installed
One of the things that's being done to my bike while it'sin the shop is moving the license plate under the tail light. He's also cutting off the that bar that holds the license plate bracket. He's capping off the ends with these smooth round caps that have a red led light in them, so they will act as running lights. Looks pretty cool.

Wish there was an easy way of putting that license plate under the tail lights like the street glide. We have the same turn signal mounts.
Gary D.
It can't be that hard. HD sells the kit, but they include the turn signal bar and lights with it. I'm going to take a look at my Dad's SG and make up a template. I should be able to bend a 1/8" piece of aluminum to duplicate the bracket and bolt it up to wherever the stock SG license bracket is bolted to. I already have the support bar that comes stock on the SG since it is clean with no mounting bracket holes. If it works how I think it's going to, I will post here.

04RoadKing,
Sorry dude, depending on what you paid, maybe. The parts are no longer protected and can be bought for the price I quoted in my post above from Zanotti's plus shipping. Someone posted about this particular e-bay situation some time ago.

04RK - I don't think you necessarily got scammed, you just may have paid too much for the parts. I guess it will depend on what you get. I have a parts list put together from a list Harleypingman posted int he thread here: https://www.hdforums.com/m_1014014/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm
Hollywood - Post some pics when you get your bike bike. I would like to see how it looks with the bar cut off and Red LED's in the holes. For some reason I am a little skeptical on those hidden antenna's. Do you have one that works well?
RJ - I'm sure some dealers got wise to the tactic. I did not hear of any of them around here asking for the damaged fender trim back. I have heard of them doing this on Anniversary edition tins though, so it wouldn't surprise me.
Snoopy - This might be what you're looking for. I got it out of the thread I posted the link to above.
RE: Road Glide - Street Glide Rear Fascia Installed
Very nice job Rocket Jockey--it really does change the rear look of your bike.
04RK and others with Road Kings or Electra Glides: if your bike has a rubber/chrome bumper/fender tip lamp, there will be additional installation issues. First, the fender tip light rear fenders have a quarter size hole in the lower left area of the fender that will bevisible if it is not filled when you do the FLHX facia--a body shop can fill it or buy a FLHR, FLHRS, FLHX fender and replace your existing fender.
Also, if the bike has the chrome/rubber bumper, you will replace it with part 91140-04 (bracket, saddlebag to fender support); this is the bracket that is OEM on RG's and RK Customs.
I posted a thread a while back about the facia no longer being a VIN restricted part after an ebay seller sold the facia and LED for $385.
If you want a copy of the HD 2006 Parts Book pages for this mod, pm me with your email address and I will email the parts pages to you; there doesn't seem to be an easy way (for me) to post them on the forum.
