Got a 2012 SG and just discovered a problem with fork lock. Got. Off the bike at the store and turned the bars and locked the switch. Forks locked. I tried to turn the switch with it in lock position to test it and it turned even tho it was locked! So it realy does not lock. I had apes put on by local indy late last year and never tested that until now. Kind of wondering if he got switch back together right. Not sure what to check so any ideas would be helpful!
Sorry about the confusion. Yes I turn forks, push down on switch, turn key to lock, remove key and switch is in lock position. Forks lock but pull up on switch and it comes up and you can move it any where you want and the tumbler of the switch is still in lock position. In other words,if you go lock your forks and remove the key you can't turn the switch until you unlock it. On mine you can!
I never notice it until the other day because if you don't pull up on the whole switch it's locked.
