Sorry to hear about your problem. I know it is frustrating enough but doubly so with a new bike. That being said and as a few others have mentioned I have a roadside assistance attachment on my insurance policy (Progressive). It's only about $10 a year more. I also have HOG membership (but I may let it expire in July). See if your carrier offers it.
I personally do not rely on HOG Roadside Assistance with my membership. Only the other BS things they provide, which is not much. I use AAA which covers anything I own that is legally licensed for the road. Tow truck will take my bike anyway up to 50 miles.
After I finally got to the dealer, they told me I had E-85 in the tank instead of Premium fuel. I would not knowingly put in Ethanol but maybe I did by mistake.
Cost me $100 for the HD dealer to drain the tank and add the right gas. I guess I'd better pay closer attention to which button I push on the pump. I have been putting gas in my bikes for over 40 years.
Has anyone else had their bike shut down after using E-85 gas???

Last year, I finished filling up when a group of 10 bikes pulled in. one guy pulls up and parks in front of a diesel only pump. I thought maybe he didn't need fuel and was just parked waiting for his buddies so I resumed my fiddling. I looked up again and he had the knozzle in his tank and was digging out his credit card. I ran over to him saying "hey - hey - hey - " (what else do you say?). He looked at me like I was nuts... so I said "diesel diesel diesel" and he looked at me like I was nuts. At this time I'm standing next to him so I point at the word "diesel" on the pump. He gruffs at me, moves his bike to another pump, and never says thank you. So I said "don't worry about it, next time I'll tell ya after you pump"

Ethanol is stupid. Hate the stuff. Usually the pump handles for those pumps are bright yellow, but not always. As far as the towing, you should look into the AMA. Great organization.
