Default RK Custom Owners

I am torn between the RK Custom and the Fatboy. I know it is personal preference but I am looking for some advice from owners. I've read some reviews and I've ridden the Fatboy but not the RK Custom...I am currently deployed in Southwest Asia and riding the demo is currently not an option. I do not plan on many long trips but I like what HD did with the custom.

Thanks

They are both great bikes. The Custom has been called the touring version of the Fatboy as there are many similarities. I took the beach bars of my Custom and put stock Fat Boy bars on and love it. I'd take both for a spin and go from there. Good luck.

For mileage its a RK all the way. Once you have the bike you might find that you love riding and want to go on long distance trips or you could possilby find that a bar hopper is all that you need. If the latter of the two is true than go for the fatboy. Also if you ever ridden a bike with saddle bags, I dont think you will go back to one that doesnt have them. They are just too convienent.

Personally, between the two it's got to be the RK Custom. The look is just so great, not to mention it has the RK feel. The Fat Boy's okay but it's not on the top of any of my lists. But that's just me.

RK has struck the delicate balance between true "BAGGER" like mine and cruiser in the Fatboy IMHO.

TNW, are you a 53 driver?

Which is why it's the perfect bike for a lot of people. I'm starting to think it's getting to be too popular.
