Finaly took apart throttle and air cleaner off to locate source oftight throttle on eg. oiled idle and acceleration cable, still hard to turn. losened cables and re-adjusted cable may have helped some. there is no idle pressure screw or backing(removed when installed cruise).
Then I focused on carb. Cables not mis alighned or binded.
Oh my!
the throttle body in carb was the culpret! So I oiled the spring/hinge and tried manuelly opening and closeing the butterfly valve. This losened a little but not much. Did not look like it could be adjusted?
bike is rideablebut the tight throttle is annoying
Did lots of searches on forum btw, ANY SUGGESTIONS? Thanks
hay voo i had the same problem on my rkc. i went to the dealer they took it apart and oiled it . still had the same the same result. went back to the dealer they removed the idle screw and i havent had the problem since.
"ANY SUGGESTIONS? Yes, why are you even messing with it, its a 07, take it in and have them fix it, most dealers take that type problem as a safety issue and will deal with it on the spot.
thanks think I will speak to dealer. I feel it is a little nit picking but hay. Someone else noticed it when they were asking me about elect.cruise control and asked if it made the throttle harder to turn. They turned throttle and said yikes.
Just got back from dealer and they acted like they adjusted cable and said it was ok.(they were worthless)
well looks like im on my own. will look a sm and attempt to remove idle scew.
Sorry Voom but I would be back there and in their face till it was fixed to YOUR satisfaction. It was your money that bought it and it came with a warranty so they should be fixin it till your satisfied. Never give up while its under warranty...Go get em!
