NO, if she is anything like my X, NO way would I let her run the jack.
A recipe for disaster!! Those jacks can be VERY touchy, especially
when trying to do a fine adjustment...rethink this.

I put my bike on a lift then use a modified floor jack to handle the weight of the wheel. I cut about 18" from an old rear tire and removed most of the sidewalls, then bolted it to my jack. I added a stop so the wheel can't roll off one side. I bend the tire section to create a ramp and roll the wheel on and off the jack. Once on the jack, it's a piece of cake.

That's awesome! I just happen to have an extra jack too.
I'm stealing your idea!
