it is Federal property, you are subject to Federal Law
CCW laws are state, not federal.

I always thought federal laws were the only ones that applied on reservations, and state laws had no jurisdiction on them. That's why they're known for gambling, smokes, booze and such, because that stuff is exempt from state tax.

I may be mistaken here but I always thought they were NOT covered by our Fed laws but they were thier own sovereign
nation - most abid buy simular laws but they can make their own rules??

In Az. if you are on a State Highway passing through the rez you are ok as long as you stay on the state highway. If you are on a B.I.A. road you are governed by the specific tribal law. Some tribes allow and accept CCW other have strict laws against. Do a websearch on Az. ccw rule and you will find out more.

What mike said! You're ok if you are on a main highway or interstate. Once you step off that road you are subject to the tribal laws governing that area. Each reservation/tribe has different stances on whether they honor AZ CCW's. From what I understand, most of them don't honor anything outside of AZ though, so if you have a UT CCW, it's not valid on reservations in AZ.

I clicked on a link at www.handgunlaw.us for US OFF Limits A-M and found this information

Carry on Indian property is controlled by Tribal Law. You must check with each tribe before carrying
on their property. Some Indian Tribes consider federal and state highways through their property as
under their control. There is a link to the Indian Nations on Handgunlaw.us. Look in at the header on
any of the main pages at Handgunlaw.us and moving your mouse pointer over Indian Nations will give
you seven different links to check on tribal law.

They have a lot of information on this site check it out.
