I never saw one before I got my '06 EGC and wasn't sure about it. It took all of a few miles and minutes to get the hang of it. I love it. Then I added 3/4" spacers to my footboards and moved them out giving myself a little more room to rest on.
That was one of the first things I did to my bike when I brought it home. I love the heal shifter but they put them way to high from the factory. You will like it a lot better once you get the hang of it. Bryan
I have mine as low as it will go and the front one is lowered where you can't get your toe under it. It's down only on each end and it works very well. It's amazing to me how many riders will ride their bikes "as is" and not adjust anything to suit them!
Love that heel shifter. Lowered both the toe and heel levers. I think you get much more positive shift with the heel. Works greatwith "clutchless" upshifts.
I have mine rotated down as far as possible and I think it is still too high. I also have a Kawasaki Vulcan 1500, the heel shifter actually comes down behind the floorboard, so it is very low and I barely have to lift my heal at all. I have been meaning to get an extended heal shifter on my RK so it will come down behind the floorboard, just haven't gotten around to it yet.
