I did the whole install in a weekend. Used Kewl Metal's 40 deg rake kit No cutting the frame and it keeps the stock rake and trail. Rides no different than when it was stock other than the turn radius is bigger due to the bike being a foot longer. My doubting friends couldn't believe it would handle the same until they rode it.
Nice looking wheels. One thing I noticed, some get the matching rear wheel and some don't. I'm on the fence if I want to shell out $2k for a matching rear wheel setup that you can't really see with the bags on. My other alternative is to just have the stock rear wheel powder coated gloss black so that it justs blends in with the rest of the bike. Also I have the rear of my bike lowered 1 inch so all you really see of the rear wheel is the outter polished lip. If I do extended bags then the rear wheel will be even more un-noticable. I guess it's more of a personal preference and if you have the $$ to spend on a matching rear wheel setup?

you answered your own question and with the lowering of your rear, it as if your spending extra money that the eye really can't appreciate. If it bothers that much then go with the powder coat.
