Default dyno question!!!!!!!!

i know there are other threads out there but wanna be exact on the questions i have.. first, i have an 07 street glide. power commander 3 and bassani 2 into 1. bought it like this. as well as these upgrades also have after market air filter (dont know which kind) and still using stock air cover (which doesnt bother me). the bikes runs strong.. but for some reason feels as if i could get more out of the gears but im not. its fast, snappy, and screams. at around 3500-4200 is where im shifting. maybe even 4000 to be exact. my PC3 is also tuned running a bit lean. if you know what it looks like and where it sets at, im one up from the bottom of the negative side.. like its running a bit on the lean side. i grew up on carbs so this is all new. if i was to take it to a dyna and have someone run it.. would i see more power? more out of gears? what do you think? if i riching it up, will i feel a different ride? more out of what im looking for? shouldnt i be reving this bad boy up to 5000? maybe im thinking about it too much, but any feedback is appreciated.

First, how do ya know it is lean? Second, the stock cams will run to 5000+ but really start to "give out" around 4000. Third, a PC III is not the best choice for your o2 equipped bike. Fourth, while a proper dyno tune is the only way to have a proper running bike, it may require a new flash tuner to do it right. Fourth, I'm not sure just a dyno tune will get ya where ya want to be power wise??

I agree with Oldhippie.. more so to the fact that I wouldn't waste money on a dyno for a PCIII.

I'm not exactly sure if it runnin lean. Getting a pop hen coming off throttle here and there... (Doesnt bother me much) and the PC3 has been workig great but the o2's are not even plugged in... They re route to themselves. I am very new to the fuel injected world and just learning about all this I guess. What's a flash tuner?? Thanks for the info

And I only expected lean not just bc of popping but if your familiar with the way it looks when you turn ignition on and I jectors you can watch the PC set..... It sets way towards the negative side.

I guess what I should have said was

I wouldn't waste money on a dyno for a PCIII and instead use that money for a flash tuner.

Powervision (easiest to use, good support from Fuelmoto)
SEPST (not easy at all IMO)
TTS Mastertune (easy once you get the hang of it)

thing to keep in mind is you're going to want to put your 02 sensors back in to get the most out of a flash tuner.

does a flash tuner allow you to tune it own your own and not have to bring it to a dyno? and if i was to get one...... would i be able to use it mroe than once? on more than one bike?

yes and possibly

yes in respect to doing it yourself.
possibly: ultimately for the best tune find a reputable tuner to tune your bike.

I don't know of a flash tuner for HD that does not marry to the ECM it's first connected to. With that said though, PV has a licensing scheme where you can purchase additional licenses (up to 6 I think)

TTS provides a similar service as well but with TTS it's highly recommended that the device go with the bike when sold so the next owner will have it.

SEPST - forget it
