Wife says Never again.
This is a Trike post but I want touring people to read. The trike people already know this.
Bought the Trike because my riding skills are a bit less than they were. You will know when that is for you. Plus I wanted to try one. I have written on here in past they are very comfortable and fun to ride. All I'm sayin is if your thinking about your two wheel future to not quit. These trikes are fun!.
Well the Wife went for first ride yesterday. A nice 100 miler with a lunch stop along the way. I didn't say much to her along the trip. When we stopped I said "Well"? She said it is so much nicer than your other Harleys and very comfy. She said I like it and I won't ride on another two wheel bike. So later that night she was showing me her sun burn and she said I need sun screen and a new jacket for next ride????? I'm thinking she wants to go again. In the past she rode when I made her, and she never asked to go on her own. This Trike is fun to ride and now it may benefit the Marriage to!

Great to hear. I'm leaning that way myself as age and ailments are catching up with me. Guess it's time to go test ride one.
My wife went to a trike 2 years ago after 20 years on two wheels because of knee issues and she is much more comfortable. I have ridden hers a lot and they are fun. When the time comes, I will be riding a trike before I will give up riding.
When I get to the point that I no longer feel safe on two wheels, three is going to happen. Even though as a kid I had a Honda 3 wheeler. It was the most dangerous thing I have ever ridden.
I have joked about this for a while now.
My knees, back, hip, and the dreaded 'Arthritis' are getting the best of me.
I even looked into a reverse gear for my 12 SG because of my knees!!
While reading magazines, I have looked into the kits to change the SG into a trike.
We are all very lucky there are options, and if you are so inclined, you can build or buy.
I will go to 3 wheels before I give up the wind in my face.
OP, I can only hope my wife feels the same when that time comes. Hell, she likes to ride now!!!
If it keeps you on the road and having fun......that's a good thing!!!!We all will be faced with the same decision at some point. Glad its working out for you.
