Has anyone changed the windshield on 2014 Street Glide? Looking to change up the stock, just to get different air flow.

Yes.

The stock windshield sucks. Mind you I have an '08, so it might be different with newer models. I put on an tall Clearview and fixed the problem. Although I found it was a bit high I cut a half inch off it.

Last year I went with a Long Ride Shield. It's a much better looking shield, sportier. Works great, no complaints. No buffeting no nuthin. Just works like it's supposed to.

His bike is a 2001 and I think his is the stock shield. It measures 8.5 inches from the top of the radio compartment to the top of the windshield.

I told him to call the Long Ride people and talk to them. He said the buffeting with the helmet was horrible, but he's not used to wearing a helmet either.

Good advice. See what they say. I don't know if they have a shield for that model, but I can say I am happy with mine. It seems to stand more straight up than the stock one and has a little curve at the top to deflect the wind up and over your head. I got the tinted one, I think it looks good and makes the bike look good.

I should get a commission don't you think?

My LRS shield is 16" from the center screw to the top edge, and 9 3/4" from the top of the radio.

I wouldn't mind trying a lower one to see how much protection you get. But this one works well.

Ok, here's an update- I went with the 7.25" National Cycle Vstream and it turned out to be too short. The top of my helmet was getting jarred around so much I got a headache! I went ahead and got the 10.75" and it is a lot better. Ride seems better and stereo even sounds good! I'm satisfied with it. Now, just to refresh, I'm 5'9" w/32" inseam and I do sit up pretty straight in the saddle. I will say I wish they made a 9" windshield cause I think it would be much better for my line of sight.

This is the 8" Freedom Shield. I am 5'9" with 31" inseam. At 50 mph the airstream is at least an inch above my helmet and the pocket behind the screen is much wider than MoCo shields I have used. The only air turbulence behind my fairing rides up my thighs when I have my feet on the highway pegs. I am really impressed with this shield.
