I have the fast aire 6in shield on my 2011 ultra so far I like it, Only 27.00 Looks real good. I am 5'10 wind just brushes top of head,But I see well over it.
The shield should come to just below the tip of your nose. Sit on your bike in the normal riding position, and have someone measure for you. (At eye level) For me, 6' 30" inseam on a road glide seat (lower than the stock couch), a 10" is where I needed to be. I have the HD Windsplitter, and am very happy with it.
Check out the Fast Aire "Aero" recurve windshield! $99.99, polycarbonate, and available in heights from 6-11 inches, and in light, medium or dark gray tints.

Agree trial and error sucks when using fleabay or dropping big coin to be stuck with a not so great fit.....
Answer: FREEDOM SHIELDS. I just put a new shield on my 2012 Street (8" dark tint recurve) that got rid of the in my face buffeting and I enjoy my stereo more now. 6'1" 34 inseam.
John at Freedom is the best in customer service and here is the awesome part. Say I didn't like my 8". Well the shield comes in a protective wrap. Simply install, and ride to see if it fits your need with protective cover still on. Went to work, came home and peeled it off as I loved the shield.
Only out shipping if you decide to step up to say a 9" or bigger.
Couldn't be happier. No connection with this company other than a damn satisfied customer
