Question lost power while riden

Morning Everyone, 5:30 AM here in sunny cal, but I ain't grinnin.
went out yesterday on the road back, ENG lite & batt lite came on,
pulled over shut it off ( running fine ) fired up , took off ..no lites : )
few minutes later looked down ..lites on again, then i started losing throttle power, slowed down and the idle was high, maybe 16 - 17 RPM, the Tach is jumping all over the place , stopped , shut down waited a'lil bit turn to switch and nothing. Battery is completely dead. and just replaced that over a year ago .

only recent changes was the edition of the lenal fan and that plugged direct to xtra connector , no wire cuts, nothing.

any ideas where to start..

Check your battery connections. Then check codes

Also, check "both ends" of your connections (+/- posts, ground and starter)...sometimes it's the "other" end causing issues.
