early windshield on 2014 batwing

Probably going to trade my 07 sg for a 14 sg. Have a small collection of windshields for the 07. Just wondering if anyone has tried to modify an early windshield to fit the new fairing. Haven't had a chance to do a side by side comparison so I'm not sure how different they are.

As long as the '07 shields are wide enough to cover the fixing points of your '14, it must be possible, with a bit of handiwork! I'm sure I'm not the only member who has trimmed or modified them in some way or other. It just takes a little care, as the plastic can heat up and 'grab' the cutting tool or drill and make life difficult.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. Guess I'll have to take a few measurements.

Sell them! 3 holes that hold the shields in place are located differently from 2014. Because of the air vent the angle of the shields is different. Not saying you can't modify old shields to work, but I would think the benefit of the vent would be altered.
