what kind of failures are people seeing on the 2014 touring models?

Are you looking for something in particular or just in general? There have been a few different issues i.e. coolant leaks, improper clutch plate for the type model, infotainment (radio) software issues. Some of the more recent issues include the ABS light staying on when going to larger wheels and some problems with aftermarket speakers fitting in the speaker enclosures under the fairing. Most of these issue have been corrected at this point.

was looking at stuff like compensator,wheel bearings and inner primary bearing and even engine and trans problems.

'14 Limited, stock it is and stock it will stay...couple of quirks with the infotainment (although it works fine for what I use it for) and dealer replaced one thermostat housing, other than that no problems. Lots of folks with thousands of miles on them already, most posting in the Rushmore section. As was mentioned might want to search over there...

Haven't heard anything widespread concerning any issues with what you are looking for. I'm sure there may be isolated issues but nothing on a grand scale.

Over 6000 miles on mine and zero failures or issues. Very happy with it.
