Doc I looked at where you are located and you are lucky to live in the south if you are looking for a touring bike priced right. go to cycle trader online and put in the key word police there should be lots of 1 year old low mileage police RK and Electra Glides reasonably priced, some already set up for 2 up some you will need to either change the seat or add the mustang rear seat that matches the police saddle then add rear floorboards and brackets. mine came from hd of Knoxville it is a 2003 bought it in 2004 with 8000 miles for $13,500

 

Patience is the key to finding a good deal on a used touring bike. Study e-bay to educate yourself on what the market is so you can tell a good deal when the opportunity presents itself. Low mileage bikes are easy to find and I think that is very important. My choice would be an 04 or newer Road Glide. HD made some significant changes in 04. Not sure where the market is on those right now.

After having a 2005 1200 C Sporty for 18 months, traded up to an Ultra and love it. Wanted something for more touring and 2 up. Took a 300 mile trip yesterday with my GF and never would have attempted that on the Sporty. By the end of the trip we felt like we could easily go several more hundred. Had the bike for 5 weeks and have 1400 miles on her.
