I also use the Harley boot gators. If I put my rain gear on, they go on too. I used them today. I set out in a down pour for about 30 mins, then light rain. I figure not only will they keep my boots dry, they will prevent the heavy rain from blowing or wicking up my legs. Hey I stay 100% dry so why not?
Got a pair of Tour Master ones on eBay for $15-20. I really only use them when it's going to rain for more then 15 minutes or on the highway. They aren't the greatest for walking in, but when they come off and the boots are completely dry they are worth every last penny. I've had "waterproof" boots before and poured water out of them.
I have a pair of boot gators. I have ridden several times in a heavy downpour without them and it takes all of about 30 seconds before my feet are soaked to the bone. They are a PITA but are well worth it when they keep your feet dry.
Yes I have a pair from Ebay, around $20. I love them when it's raining or the road is wet after rain, stops the wet boots and socks ickyness. Often it's too hot to wear raingear but the gaiters definitely work. Get rubber soled ones with a stirrup that goes under your boot, which leaves your boot heels open, so that they are not slippery when you put your feet down.
I have a pair of the Tourmasters. I usually only put them on in heavy rain, or extended rain. They fold up small and I put them in one of the lower fairing storages holes.
I got a pair. Got tired of losing my boots for 2-3 days while they dried. Baking them in an oven in Laconia for an 2 hours was the final straw.
They work great but they're kind of clumsy- like wearing clown shoes.
I have a pair. Never felt comfortable in them. I wear waterproof HD Lynx boots, or Redwings that I oiled up.
I will sell my covers for $10, shipping included, if someone wants them. They aren't HDs, but look identical. Think they were First Gear. I wear an 11.5 shoe.
