front rotors 2005 ultra, stamped min.180 ,, they were way out of round but i put them to the flywheel resurface machine to see what i could do for them , one came out at 170 and the other at 175,, fly wheel mach. resurfaces one side at a time with a stone, not like a brake lathe with the knife,,.
thanks
Looks like you work or have access to a machine shop & know about tolerances. They set those tolerances for a reason!!! Just my 2 cents.
yeah i know,, but they would make a good spare set ,, but would u run them was the question. .005 & .010 like the thickness of a piece of paper or two.
No way would I run those.
I run a die-cutting press in the printing industry .005 and .010 in paper thickness is quite a difference affecting the final quality of the product, I see over heating and possible breakage running those.

cool thanks for the ansewer ,, that was whwt i was looking for . so i guess ill make a shrine or some thing with other old pull off parts with them. all ready got another set on the bike from another member on this forum (thanks to sailrider) just wanted to see if they would clean up on the resurface machine and still be in spec. oh well worth a try anyway.
Me, I would run them if I had no alternative until I could get new ones.
yeah i think ill keep them for a spare set , i just resurfaced the braking area of where the pads hit , not the inner part where they bolt on , so i think they will run for awhile if needed,.dont think heat will be an issue (not on the brakes that long at a time) plus they are drilled , as far a breakage , dont think so either. oh well thanks to all that replyed.
