so bike is headed south. brother is moving to his retirement home in florida. we put together a harbor freight HD trailer. rated at 1700lbs with the bike coming in at less than 800, so it was thought to be fine.
bike arrived florida after the trip fom NJ with no issues.
tires on the trailer were upgraded from stock 2 ply (55mph rated) to 4 ply (70mph rated). other than that, trailer was stock and put together by the book.
the saddle bags of the ultra were pulled off before the trip to prevent the bags from flying off during the trip.

speakerfritz....do you not ride anymore? I missed this thread when it first came out. glad to hear the bike and brother are moving to a clime for all yr. riding. bike happy and brother happy. works out just right.
