Default Seat help

I have a 2005 road king classic, and when i hit the highway i get a sharp pain in my left hip. I can make it go away if i find my sweet spot on the floorboard, but its a pain in the ***. Im thinking a new seat will help with the issue, so i want some opinions. What are some low profile, good looking seats that you can reccomend? 2 up preffered, but a solo would be ok, i can always buy a bitch pad for my girl when she wants a ride

could be you need a higher seat so that you sit taller, this take load off the hips.

it also reduces effort to drop feet to ground and lift back up to floor boards.

if your seat is low, you have to lift and rotate the foot from the hip each time.

try repeating this motion sitting in a chair, then sitting on a lower stool- how's your hip feel after doing a few of those?

That makes sense with the motion. But it only happens on the freeway. Im a young (27) healthy guy, i have a feeling its pressure from the seat. I have a streetglide seat on there now. I have been looking at corbin, danny gray, and mustang not sure what one i like best

Did the orig RK seat give you the same discomfort or did it come with a SG seat?

RoadKing seats are notoriously uncomfortable. Mustang or Corbin (My preference) should solve the problem.

I had the same issue in my right hip on stock seats, they're too soft.

Had a Saddleman leather on my softail, really liked it, but they don't make leather seats any more.

I'm on a Corbin Dual Tour now, and absolutely love it!

I use to have similar issues until I put a HD police seat on my RK.
Very comfortable - can adjust to your height requirements.

Do you carry your wallet in your back pocket which could be pressing on your sciatic nerve? Just wondering.
