Anyone have an answer as to why my antenna doesnt seem to work but when i unhook my antenna on the tour pak from the antenna relocation part (for when i take the tour pac off) i get better reception? I rode around today without it hooked up and had reception but when i hooked it back up i didnt have nothing...hasnt always been this way just started.

One thing to check is to make sure that the antenna has a GOOD ground. If you need to run a ground wire from the negative lead of your battery to the antenna and see if that helps. If so, you have a ground issue with your antenna.

If you have a detachable tour pak you have no ground now due to the tour Pak rides on plastic. You need to run a ground wire from the negitive side of the battery to the Steel plate inside your Tour Pak, you can put a plug in ,on the wire to keep it detachable.

The connector on the underside of the adaptor plate where the original antenna wire attaches had too many washers on it and wasn't allowing the wire to plug all the way in. Harley blamed it on my cut antenna. I pulled a washer and seated the plug all the way and have good reception now.
