Okay, I did a search here and on Google with no luck...Progressive even seems to be down at the moment....I'm looking for the load capacity on my 07 Electra Glide Classic...
I'm changing out my 11.5" progressive 440's with heavy duty springs and thinking of going 12" 444's with standard springs....I ride solo most of the time at 185....and my wife on occasion will join me for a combined weight of 350 lbs........
Do I go standard or heavy duty springs ? I found all kinds of info but not what I needed...Load capacity for either the bike or shock...
Out of curiosity, why are you changing out shocks? the girlfriend and I are roughly the same size and am thinking about changing back shocks and am gathering info on different shocks. thanks
I love'd the 440's....In fact these are my second set..I first had a set on my 04 Road Glide and road them until I sold the bike at 30k + miles .....They were still in great shape at the time of the sale.
The current set are on my 07 Electra Glide Classic. I got it used in 09 with 109 miles on it...I bought the 440's used from a guy local and I've pounded out 35K+ hard miles on those puppy's...(I have no idea what the last guy had on them)...
I have started to notice they have gotten a little softer then they once where. On deep pot holes, frost heaves and ruts. Just not as "fluid" as they where. New York and New England winters have been really hard on the roads the last few years... Progressive would rebuild them had a reasonable price if I bought them new but being used (and understandably) it makes more sense to buy new ones.
So after researching shocks I decided to go with the slight up grade and newer 444's ( a lot cheaper then the celebrated 944's).
I hope that helps...

Ahh hell I through the ol lady on the back at 450# and me at 160#....a little hard to corner...but gawd I love her! Just bustin'...
Do you have an owners manual? You can also Google it.
I did "Google it" but didn't find it....I do have an owners manual and a service manual...I'll dig them out and look...Thanks....I just didn't think it would be this hard
Okay, I think I got my answer..The GVWR gross vehicle weight rating is 1229 lbs....The GAWR gross axle weight rating for the rear axle is 827..So I am way safe with standard springs solo or two up and reasonably loaded saddlebags..
