I'm going to go out on a limb and say no to just the cover. If you swap the whole stock unit with the stock breather box, i believe it works.
I tried to use my 09 stage 1 backplate on my 14 limited but no go if I wanted to use the stock cover with it. it hit the tank as the 14 stage 1 backplate has the ac offset down so it does fit. If I wanted to use any of the round covers that are around it would have worked, but just not with the 14 stock cover.
How about the newer cover with a non-stock AC unit like a Big Sucker on the older, say 2009, bike? Both use a center screw attachment and it's a simple round filter to cover.
