my local shop that i has a great rep in the area has been pushing for me to go w/ gear drive cams. i was debating it for while, well my buddy did it and wit hhis 96, 570's, power commandor and full exhaust it dyno'd at 100 HP. i rode his before and after and wow the differnce it made. looks like im going to set up a time to get mine installed soon. i know all the requirements that have to be met to run them i not looking for that whole explination again. or start a debate to use chain drive cams.
my question is; is there another gear drive cam i should consider over the 570? i looking for more power in the 2000-3500 RPM range. i think i will be happy w the 570 just want to double check my options w/ your opinions

I have 509's. Dyno numbers are below on my 88" (Stage 1). The increase in power is most noticed when passing or pulling a big hill with a passenger. It was a worthwhile upgrade to my failing cam chain tensioners.
Foget the gear drve, spend the $$ on a 30 or 31 tooth front pulley,or some headwork. As far as a cam goes, I'd go with a RedShift 527, very similar to an SE 204 with a little mor lift
Be nice to know what ya are putting it in and other mods??? 570s like some compression.
my 2013 RG, right now has full stage 1, power vision tuner. he did say i might want to bump up the compression when i change to them... i letting him use his judgement on what needs done.
i dont want to get into serious motor work at this point, maybe this winter
just gonna let him do it now because the bike will be down a cpl weeks for paint from the saddlebag accident.
The 570s would be great in a 103! You"ll have good power across the board. Yes they would like a little bump in compression, so you may consider putting in a 0.030 head gasket but that is really about all the 570 cam would need.
The 570 has been around a while, but that just means its proven to work well.
