Default Progressive 444's

The 444's showed up on Wednesday. I finally had an opportunity this afternoon to get them put on. Pretty straightforward install. Initial impressions are positive. I have the preload set at roughly "2 1/2". Once we get 2 up and loaded bags, it may take a solid 3. 4 is the max. I went with the 13's, hoping that I'm not disappointed for not going 13 1/2, we'll see. Once I get some more time and miles on them in varying loaded conditions, I'll let everyone know what I think. I will say this, what little I have been able to try them out, they are MUCH better than the stock air shocks. But with that being said, I think the real test is to see how they perform loaded up. We have trip planned to Durango Colorado in July, I should know for sure when we get back.

Looking forward to your experience. I realize more every day how harsh the stockers are.

I'm interested in hearing how they perform, been looking at them myself.

One thing that I definitely like over some of the others is that they are adjustable by hand. No tools to keep track of!

I got mine on but am adding risers and not made a significant ride yet. I put the air shocks on the nightster and it has become a pleasure to ride, 2 up even, now if I can find a seat for it, better than the sundowner.

Just bolted some 12" on my 08 Roadglide. Initial impression is an incredible improvement over stock. Not even the same bike. Going on nice long run tomorrow so will know more. My preload is on 2.

love mine, whole different ride, consider adding the monotube front fork cartridge, you'll be one happy camper if you do, you'll be surprised how much better the bike handles, and how much of a jolt you are getting from the stock front fork springs.

I can already feel what you are talking about in the front end. It never ceases to amaze me how one thing leads to another....I love it!

Were the 13" a direct replacement for your stock? If so, did they have any impact on the bike height?

Yes, the 13's are a direct replacement. No height change that I can tell. It feels the same from the seat. I didn't pull any measurements.
