My brother-in-law got his at Autozone I believe. They're the short bendable rubber kind about a foot long. I think he paid $5 or $6 a piece.

I cut mine down to 10 inches and it still works great.

My dad just clipped 12" off his 05 Ultra antenna's to gain access under the garage door. Diddnt affect a thing, everything works the same as before clipping the masts. Best of all it was free, and it really cuts down the whipping action of the antennas, and still retains the stock looks.

If you are going to cut the O.E. antennas shorter please remember the CB antenna needs to have the gain readjusted. This job can be done using the rf gain meter available at your local radio shack. Needs to be hooked up in line with the CB cable. You then can adjust the antenna to the proper specs outlined in the rf meter instructions. Easy job but very time consumming. The Freedom Cycle Reno antennas have a adjustment "thingy" right on the antenna.
If the gain is not adjusted correctly the CB can be damaged or so I have been told by the local CB Nerd. In my neighborhood he is the guy know by his home "The Antenna House"

How is the gain adjusted on the stock antenna after cutting it? How much does a Radio Shack meter cost?

Ordered antennas from Freedom Cycle Reno... 15 days ago. Still have received nothing but excuses via email as to why they have not arrived. Card was charged but no product delivered...[:@]
