I am looking to buy a 2014 street glide but I am not sure because I have short but very steep driveway directly into my garage. It is about 50 ft long concrete at a 30 deg angle. I am concerned this heavy bike will be too heavy to control going down this directly into my garage--any help or feedback would be appreciated.

That is exactly the scenario I have at home. I bought a J&S jack. I can flip my bike around in a few seconds now and shoot out the garage door in the correct orientation. There are lots of jacks out there, some better than others.

Take a demo for a ride to the house ... If they want to sell one they'll do it!

I've got a rutted gravel driveway like that, although there's a flat area at the bottom. It makes the last 30 seconds of every trip home an adventure.

Relax, just enough brake to maintain a smooth and slow decent, and a quick prayer never hurts. You'll add more rules as you go along... like not stopping for a cold one on the way home, and taking your sunglasses off if it's too dark to see the bottom.

I've been running the driveway gauntlet on a Deuce, but that will change either tomorrow or the next day when I pick up my new Street Glide. In theory the process should be the same... so I'm not sure why my palms are sweating just thinking about it.

I don't see a problem here. I'm pretty sure that if you ride long enough you're going to come to a stop sign or light at the bottom of a hilll a few times. See some at the top of the hill as well. Just ride the thing! I think too many people are afraid to just ride it. You are the boss in charge. Make the bike do what you want it to do. You're not just along for the ride. Remember no matter what you encounter... Drive the bike first! The minute you are "just along for the ride" is where you go from being a motorcyclist to a skidding projectile.

Id trade the difficulty of a short steep driveway all day long to the amount of idiots we have to share the roads with.

Let me ask you this question: What are you going to do when going down a steep street with a stop sign at the bottom or going up a steep street & a stop sign at the top???? That's a scary thought, don't you think??
