I have a 11 S.G. with detachable tourpack. I want to move my tourpack back a couple of inches. Has anyone made a plate to move it back? Everything i have searched is for a E.G. which has a different mount i believe. I work in sheet metal shop and have all the stuff to build my own just looking for ideas or dimensions. Thanks
Detachable mounts for a tourer are the same, be it an Electra or a Street Glide. If you found threads about making plates for an Electra, that would work.
Thanks for your fast reply! What i found i think was for a hard mount or non detachable. I couldnt find anything for a detachable. Hopefully someone out there has done one and can post some pics and dimenions. Thanks
Get the George .... tourpak relocator. I can't remember the guys last name. Makes a plate that moves it back 2" and raises it about 1". I have it and it works great. I have the rear detach kit and it works fine.

I went a different way. Legends sliding tour pack. For me its the best mod I've ever done to any bike I've owned! Can go from the most comfortable solo I've ever experienced..to two up in about 60 seconds. Best part is that there are 8 positions for the solo, and 5 for two-up.
In two up mode, it can adjust to almost 2" further back than stock. I know it was pricey, but simply the best thing I've ever done.
It doesn't remove though, so it may not be an option for the OP

I used the plate form a thread on this board. However I had to open up the holes on the relocation bracket just a bit. I think this was made for the fixed mount but it works.

This is so slick! When 1-up does it slide over the stock pillon?
