You have a 2-year, unlimited-mileage warranty. They're covered.
Exactly. There are certain items that are not covered, Tires and brake pads for example, but the items you mentioned are covered. If the dealer gives you ANY grief, say OK thanks. I will just check with Harley on why they are not covered. That will snap them into action.
Dam, My seat is NOT coming apart but while washing it, if I get very little water on it, the foam soaks up the water and can leak on my leg for hours. The water goes threw the stitching and that right there pisses me off.
Well,..... the service manager called me today and told me that the Harley Warranty department authorized a new seat and authorized a "one time" warranty claim on my phone cradle. I asked them why for the "one time" on my phone cradle and he said that Harley "thinks" that it should be considered a "wear" item. I'm happy that its all being replaced but, I expect the phone cradle to come apart again unless they redesign it. Overall,... I'm happy though.
That really should be covered imo, I would raise a stink, right after I bought my Slim last June the lettering on the Speedometer was flaking off where the back of the speedometer needle was touching the face, dealer took one look and ordered another speedometer for me.

Yeah, that's how the seat is "supposed" to be, but my seat would really suck up the water.
I've owned 6 different Harleys and this was the first one that I ever had a problem with it retaining water. It appears to me that the vinyl on the new Harleys is also little thinner than some of the older ones that I've owned. Maybe my new seat will be issue free.
