Army is sending me on another year long tax payer funded hunting trip...... Do I need to do anything odd, or unusual to my SG as far as setting it up for storage?
Fluid change
Full tank with stabilizer
Remove battery and trick charge?
Yes to all the above, but as for fuel, i would run it dry and fill with non ethanol fuel, if none available in your area, usually the business that sell equipment to commercial landscapers sell non ethanol fuel in 1 gallon cans... expensive, but i'v been told that even with fuel stabilizer added to ethanol based fuel, it will not prevent fuel break down for a year...
Ship it to me and I will just ride it and keep it running for you. On a serious note I would like to thank you for your service to all of us. GOD BLESS you and protect you.

question for some of you engineer types. is there a chance of wheel bearings getting brinelled from sitting for one year with the weight on the wheels?
I wouldn't leave the gas in there that long, I would drain the tank, fog the cylinders, change all the fluids and put it on a lift. Stabil guarantees it will work for 1 year but I would want a good quality non ethanol fuel in there for that long. Happy Hunting and be safe.
