Default Long term storage

Army is sending me on another year long tax payer funded hunting trip...... Do I need to do anything odd, or unusual to my SG as far as setting it up for storage?

Fluid change
Full tank with stabilizer
Remove battery and trick charge?

Thanks

Yes to all the above, but as for fuel, i would run it dry and fill with non ethanol fuel, if none available in your area, usually the business that sell equipment to commercial landscapers sell non ethanol fuel in 1 gallon cans... expensive, but i'v been told that even with fuel stabilizer added to ethanol based fuel, it will not prevent fuel break down for a year...

Make a few calls to your local dealers. I know the one nearest to me has FREE long term storage for deployed troops.

EDIT:

And what a coincidence..... just found this thread. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...ght-thing.html

Pull the plugs and squirt some oil in there, then turn the engine over a few times.
I've also used marine "engine fogging oil" for long term storage.

I wouldn't leave the gas in there that long, I would drain the tank, fog the cylinders, change all the fluids and put it on a lift. Stabil guarantees it will work for 1 year but I would want a good quality non ethanol fuel in there for that long. Happy Hunting and be safe.
