Replaced the original HD compensater at 10,000 miles with the Screaming Eagle compensater. 15,000 miles more and the Screaming Eagle POS is done. Any suggestions?

I'm new to the 96" motors and compensator issues so i'm wondering how you know when the comp. is going bad. My 2010 clanks or bangs almost every time I start it. I just bought it and It only has 1,000 miles on it. Dealer says its normal just ride it but it doesn't seem right.
Even the newest, 2014 generation, are not all that great. Just put one in my bike and its noisier than the previous SE model I had in it, which was very quiet. Should have left it in, but it was getting the galling and rust on the journals and wear on the spokes. For whatever reason, H-D can no longer design a decent compensator, when for the last 50+ years there never seemed to be an issue.
I just took my 07 in to get the compensator changed. Had 50K miles on the original one. It was clunking real good when I put it in gear or down shifted.
Now is nice and quite. Also had a new chain adjuster installed and a whole new clutch assy. The old clutch plates were wore out and the inner splines on the clutch basket were getting bad.

I'm on my third one. Just put the latest and greatest SE one in. Made more noise than old one did when new?? Added an extra spring from old one. Helps, but still rattles at idle when hot??
Got me scared now. I'e got the original compensater on my 07 SG with 30K on the clock. I'll do Sturgis this summer and hope it holds.
I just had to have mine replaced on my '09 ULTRA with 72,000 miles on it.It was just starting to make the dreaded clunk on hot starts, but my first indication that something wasn't right was a noise from the primary area when downshifting. Thank god for extended warranty, cause they changed the comp, stator, and some other stuff.
