Electrical Gremlin HELP..
Tried this on the electrical section of this site with no response. Lets see if i can get any help here.
2008 FLHTC. 26000 miles. Bike just had 25000 mile service and all fluids changed. One week later while riding the bike, the radio shut off and started back up. Did this 3 times then the bike stalled and started back up. Got it home turned it off. Called dealer. Went back out and started the bike to take it to be looked at. The bike started fine but had no throttle control. Just idled. Started again and it ran fine all the way to the dealership. Bike showed two codes, b1006 b1007. Over current to accessories. Dealer inspected bike, put new radio in, cleared codes and gave me back the bike. That night it did the same thing again. Back to the dealer. Same codes. Dealer replaced voltage regulator and rode bike for 100 miles. Still throwing codes b1006 b1007. Put bike on DTC and can’t locate issue. Contacted HD tech support and was told to replace TCM. Changed it and test rode with no codes. I get the bike back and that night it does it again. Seems no one can figure it out. They checked the charging system, cleaned all wire connections. They have done everything short of tearing the tank off and inspecting wire harness for issues at $85.00 an hr. Yes I do have ESP. Apparently wont cover diagnostics. Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone had this problem?

They did everything else except inspect the wiring harness and its connections. Why wouldn`t the warranty cover diagnostics, especially since they didn`t find the problem? `Sounds like you need another dealer`s opinion. Also, it would be a good time to call the MoCo.
ESP is not Harley Davidson.
OP you are dealing with 'experts', did they take any readings with a voltmeter or ammeter ( measures amps/current).
'cause it looks like they are just replacing parts, which is ok if someone else is paying ( ESP) 100%, but replacing parts without diagnosis can temporarily mask the source of problems.
In your shoes, I would contact the ESP servicing company and say;
" these guys are blindly replacing parts without diagnosis- many visits and many expensive parts replaced has found no remedy.
Can the ESP company refer me to someone else for expert service"
mike
Thanks for the replies, as been said MoCo is not ESP, I have contacted ESP and was told they only pay 125℅ of book as said in contract. I'm not looking to find blame. Sorry if I confused anyone. I'm looking for a solution.
Mike, it is a reputable dealership and they have had it on the DTC for diagnostics. Its a very sporatic issue that needs to show up and stay I guess. Maybe a specialist or something. Just thought someone might had had this before.
