I just received this Hammock seat from Surdyke Harley. As you can see it is wrinkled and the foam is not laying flat in the front side..I contacted Surdyke and this was their answer that took two days;
Dear customer,
This is not a warrantable return issue. It does take a while to break in
but I have forwarded this to our returns department regardless.
Damn....That's not a break in issue. Looks like a really poor stretching job when the cover was installed. Can you tell if the padding is done correctly underneath? I suppose that if Surdyke won't do the right thing that an upholsterer could fix the cover for you.
I wouldn't worry....bought a Corbin solo seat that had similar issues because the leather shrinks. After I rode several times it cleared and looked normal. The fellow at Corbin told me it would...he was correct.
What does that reply even mean? Not warrantable, but they will forward to the returns department? Sounds like they think you should return it, but don't have the authority to approve, and returns does.
I would ask for contact info, and if no satisfaction go right to the top. I would give them a chance to do the right thing before posting.
A few days in the sunlight and it should look fine. Still, what ever happened to customer service. I would call and ask to speak to the returns department.

The problem is this is vinyl not leather and on the side it has a lump where you can see the foam ending

I agree, what kind of answer is this? Kind of, your wrong but whatever! And makes no commitment to help....
