Its essentially an extra hard clear coat and it's being applied by someone trained for its application at the dealer, it's not in a spray can you pick up from Walmart

When I worked at a local HD dealer, they sold and applied a treatment called Xzilon (pronounced ZY-LON). Its a nano molecular product that fills in all the "pores" and micro scratches in the paint. Made to protect from stains like sap, bird ****, acid rain, etc. It's applied with a microfiber cloth and quickly buffed dry with a second cloth. I was one of the techs tasked with the application. Don't know if it was any good or not.

Snake oil. Waste of money. Do you really think there's any coating tougher than the clearcoat that's already on the bike?? Some thing you rub on and wipe off, tougher than the clearcoat? Sure the dealer installs it-and makes a good PROFIT doing it.
Back in the '70's as one person already mentioned -this kinda stuff got really popular for a while. Till it started peeling, fading, and looked like hell. We made a lot of money off a local Ford dealer, wet sanding and buffing that stuff off. Some cars had to be repainted.

After reading some of the reviews I totally agree. Definitely not having it done.

Sure you don't mean Xzilon? If so don't waste our money.

Just pick up some good wax and a detailer spray to use in between coats. It'll stay smooth as glass. It takes no time at all to put a coat of wax on, it's the beer drinking that takes the most time. Those paint protectants are nice little upsells for dealers.

Yes, it's officially Xzilon. I do not intend on having it done to my bike, definitely just a quick way for a dealer to make some extra money on a sale.
